Garland W. Sands

May 1928 - January 2022

Garland Wayde Sands, formerly of Hope Town Abaco, Bahamas took his eternal rest on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022. A life lived in complete and bold service to The Lord Jesus Christ. Mr.Sands grew up in the church and was born to a household of nine children in the humblest of circumstances leading him to constantly affirm his appreciation for all that he would acquire during his time here on earth. A young boy from humble beginnings turned iconic Bahamian Businessman. With God the center of his life, those ventures sought by Mr. Sands were victorious yet he remained a humble, hard-working man with a wealth of knowledge which he generously imparted to those he had the fortune of mentoring over the years. Mr.Sands was generous with all that he had and gave as unto The Lord in private and silence, a man of great wisdom and integrity. He touched many lives deeply. He was a loving husband, a dedicated and devoted father who placed family first. He will be missed. Mr. G. Wayde Sands was the President of Multi Discount Furniture, Sanpin Motors, Friendly Ford, Elite Motors, Multi Discount Super Party Center, Bahamas Bus & Truck Company & Multi Auto Parts.

Horton F. Pinder

October 1928 - September 2012

Mr. Frank Pinder of Cloister Drive, Paradise Island and formerly of Spanish Wells and Rock Sound Eleuthera Bahamas was firstly a deeply committed born again christian, a very successful businessman, a founding member of Calvary Bible Church and a founding leader and member of Gideon's International (Nassau Camp). Mr. Pinder impacted thousands of lives for Christ. A man of great integrity with a powerful testimony whom was generous and not only gave of himself but gave means to bless others. Mr. Pinder was a loving husband, father, family man, and a friend to all who met him.What an absolute blessing he was to our nation.

He went home to be with his Lord on Monday September 24th the year 2012.

Mr. Pinder was the Vice President, Director and a Shareholder of Multi Discount Furniture and Appliances, Multi Discount Super Party Store Sanpin Motors Ltd., Friendly Ford Motors Ltd, Bahamas Bus and Truck Company Ltd, Elite Motors Company Ltd.,

Jasiel G. Thompson

May 1928 - March 2004

Pastor and Elder Jasiel G. Thompson went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday March 9th of the year 2004, during his time on this earth, he impacted the lives of thousands of Bahamians through his Radio-Teaching Ministry, Calvary Bible, The Gideons, Christian Business Men's Committee International (CBMCI), Youth for Christ and so many more impactful ministries within our community. He was a faithful and committed Christian and Church Builder and Leader as well as a very successful businessman.

Mr. Thompson began as a school teacher before becoming a head master, an out island Commissioner, Merchant, Church Leader, Elder and Pastor.

Mr. Thompson was a Shareholder, Director and controller of Multi Discount Furniture, Sanpin Motors, Friendly Ford, Bahamas Bus and Truck, RGT Holdings Ltd. His is certainly missed but is in our hearts.

Donald P Johnson

June 1935

Mr. Johnson was born in Nassau Bahamas on June 5th,1953. As a young boy, Mr Johnson loved to sing, in fact per his daughter,there was nothing he enjoyed more, he nestled leisurely into his music. Some of his other favourite pastimes as a child were gardening, boating, diving, and fishing. Gardening however struck an an extra special chord in his heart as he took great pride in his yard, manicuring and tending it daily.

Johnson is known as a man of great humility and integrity, he was and is today deeply respected by his workers and that respect is extended in both directions. He is known to have treated each employee like family with an honour that was mind-blowing and hard to comprehend for many who had the fortune of watching his exchanges with his staff. This only echoed his values for family and the pedestal to which he placed his very own wife and children. Johnson was the ninth born of eleven children, and went on to father two beautiful children of his own to whom like his garden, he tended diligently for there was nothing he would not do for them.

He is very unapologetic about his faith. Mr. Johnson came to know the Lord at the delicate age of 13 by the hands of his brother who was an evangelist. Johnson is a Christian and he sets the tone for every introduction ensuring this is the foundation.

Mr. Johnson recently celebrated 62 years of matrimony. To find one person whom would have a derogatory word to speak

about Mr. Johnson would be the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack.

He is such a noble man. He is now retired and enjoying life at home with his family.

Mr. Johnson served as Managing Director, and is presently a Director and Shareholder of Sanpin Motors Ltd.,

Friendly Motors Ltd. and Elite Motors.
